If you're flying with Spirit Airlines and need to cancel your trip, here's what you need to know about their cancellation policy:
You can cancel any reservation within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the flight is at least 7 days away.
This applies to all ticket types, including non-refundable fares.
If you cancel after 24 hours, cancellation fees may apply depending on how far in advance you cancel:
60+ days before departure: No fee
31–59 days: $69
7–30 days: $99
0–6 days: $119
The remaining balance (after fee) is returned as a Reservation Credit, valid for future Spirit travel.
If you don’t cancel and miss your flight, your entire booking is forfeited with no refund or credit.
Online via Spirit's website or mobile app (fastest method)
Through Spirit's customer service center
At the airport counter (may incur additional charges)
Spirit Airlines does not offer refundable fares.
Refunds for optional extras (like bags or seats) are not guaranteed after cancellation.
Travel insurance may offer additional protections if you need to cancel due to emergencies.
